Eagles Retains Position In Africa, Among 100 Most Valuable Team Globally

SAN FRANCISCO, October 14, (THEWILL) – Nigeria’s Super Eagles have retained their position as the second Most Valuable National Team in Africa with a valuation of €230.68m, according to Transfermarkt.

Transfermarkt is the German-based website founded by Axel Springer that provides reliable footballing information such as scores, results, statistics, transfer news fixtures and player values.

The Nigerian national team, who are the 2019 AFCON bronze winners, were ranked among the 100 Most Valuable National Teams in the world with Gernot Rohr’s side taking the 21st position.

Their ranking places them as the second most valuable team on the continent. They are behind the Teranga Lions of Senegal, who occupy the top spot.

Senegal is 12th on the global stage with a valuation of €344.43m.

Behind Nigeria is Morocco (third in Africa and 23rd in the world) with a valuation of €189.83m.

The Three Lions of England are still rated the Most Valuable National Team in the world with a stunning market value of €1.38bn ahead of France, in second place, with a valuation of €1.23bn.
