SAN FRANCISCO, April 12, (THEWILL) – The Department of State Services, DSS, says it has foiled a plot by a deadly ISIS-linked Boko Haram terrorist gang to attack the embassies of the United States, U.S, the United Kingdom and other western countries in Nigeria.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by one of its officials, Tony Opuiyo, the Service said it also apprehended the ISIS-linked Boko Haram members based in Benue state and the FCT.
It said: “The group had perfected plans to attack the UK and American Embassies and other western interests in Abuja.”
Opuiyo added that: “during the operation to thwart this plan, five key suspects, namely: Isa Jibril, Jibril Jibril, Abu Omale Jibril, Halidu Sule and Amhodu Salifu, were arrested”.
