November 19, (THEWILL) – Lawal Olalekan Olumo otherwise known as Konga has every reason to be thankful to his creator for sparing his life from a near fatal accident and from dare-devil robbers who took advantage of his situation to rob him of his valuables.
The rap artiste escaped death by the whiskers from the accident but unfortunately, got stabbed by robbers who left him to die. The incident happened in Lekki a few days ago, after he went to cut his hair at an upscale barbing salon.
He decided to stop at his friend’s birthday party and spent an hour celebrating with him after which he took off in his car and headed home. On his way home, he lost control of the wheel and the car tumbled off the road close to a canal.
He was bleeding profusely on his head and nose after he got out of the car. While trying to get his valuables and move away from the scene of the accident, four guys ran to him and attempted to steal his clothes and other valuables.
Despite trying to escape to a safe area, he was pursued and his Apple watch, iphone 11X Promax, neck and hand chains, clothes, shoes were carted away. Some of the valuables made away were meant for his video shoot which was to take place the following day. They beat him to stupor and stabbed him before leaving him to die.
But a good samaritan took him to the police station where he got a written statement to treat him. The singer was then taken to the hospital and abandoned there. He woke up on the hospital bed and a fan who recognized him told him of how he was abandoned in the hospital.
The fan also made a part payment of N3,500 for his treatment. While trying to transfer money from his Zenith bank account to complete the payment for his treatment, he realized that the robbers who made away with his phone had emptied his account.
