October 1, (THEWILL) – The Cross River State Commissioner For Commerce, Rosemary Archibong, says people don’t have to fight, behave like politicians to get followers.

Rather, she says when people find a need, and fill it, they become leaders.

Archibong disclosed this during the public presentation/launching of her book, Management Essentials Through The Lens of God.

Archibong, a pastor and former Head of Administration at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, said people become leaders when there is a vacuum or problem and they solve it.

“You don’t have to fight and behave like politicians, buy followers but find a need, fill it and you will have followers.

“Everyone is a leader and leadership comes when there is a vacuum or you solve a problem you become a leader”, she said.

She explained that her passion for people propelled her to write the book and explained that her success is anchored on God.

“I have a passion for people and it’s that passion that propelled me to want to share some of the things I know that have helped my life to be a success and it is anchored on God”, she said.

Speaking while reviewing the book, Associate Professor, Antigha Bassey, said the book is an attempt to apply spirituality to the management of an organisation.

He said the book reveals that God is the originator of management and consequently managers, employees and owners of organisations should consider God first and draw inspiration from the bible in managing organisations.

He added that the analysis of management principles in the eleven chapters of the book reveals the transforming power of gained experience saying the book is the first of its kind east of the Niger.

In his keynote address, Professor Roland Ndoma-Egba, a former Chief Medical Director of the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, said the main challenge of Nigeria is leadership.

He explained that the book shows what should come naturally with being a leader and recommended the book to all because we are in a management situation in the country and good leadership/management is in our best interest.

In his goodwill message, Bishop Emmah Gospel Isong, the PFN National Publicity Secretary, said Pastor Rosemary Archibong is the proper person to write the book.

Bishop Isong, who was represented by his wife, Magistrate Isong, said the author is giving back to society by writing the book.

Dignitaries who graced the book launch included Professor Ivara Esu, Professor Eyo Etim Nyong, and Asuquo Ekpenyong, among others.

The book launch also featured the 44th marriage anniversary between Pastor Rosemary Archibong and her husband Sir William Archibong.
