July 22, (THEWILL) – A former ex-housemate of the BBNaija reality TV has stated that she had full-blown anxiety when her stay in the reality show came to an end.
Erica spoke of her experience dealing with the fame after BBNaija during the latest episode of “Inside Life with Erica,” her reality show on MTV Base.
In the show, Erica opened up to Don Jazzy, the famous Nigerian record producer, how she struggled to keep a balance between her celebrity status and mental health.
On his part, Don Jazzy also talked about how he coped with various misconceptions about himself during the early stages of his foray into the entertainment industry.
The Mavin Records boss stated that at the time, some thought he was a “drug dealer” while others also took him for a “murderer.”
“People judge you by their attitudes or how they would have behaved if they were in your shoes,” he said.
Erica disclosed that the narrative is beginning to change as she has learned how to handle the situation better.
She said: “Being in the public eye has made me anxious –obviously it’s not as bad as when I first came out of the Big Brother house.
“I had full-blown anxiety in that period but now it comes and goes. Now, I am just trying to find a balance in my life.”
