SAN FRANCISCO, April 07, (THEWILL) – A medical doctor in Katsina State, who recently returned to Daura, the state capital from a trip to Lagos, has died from the coronavirus disease, making him the first confirmed case of the disease in the state.
According to Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, the deceased identified as Dr. Aminu Yakubu, a Daura based private medical practitioner, also suffered hypertension and hepatitis.

“Our medical response team are in Daura right now for contact tracing of all that came into contact with him, we hope by this night and tomorrow morning to take complete samples of those he had contact with to the NCDC,” the governor said.
