Delta North Senatorial Election: Ochei Gets APGA Endorsement

BEVERLY HILLS, February 01, (THEWILL) – The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Delta State has adopted Rt. Hon Victor Ochei of the Accord Party (AP) as its Delta North Senatorial candidate in the forthcoming senatorial election.

Chairman of the state chapter of the party, Ogbueshi Eboka made the declaration at a mega rally in Ibusa where over five thousand faithful witnessed the official presentation of the party’s flag to Chief (Dr) Tony Azuya, as its Oshimili North Local Council flag bearer in the House of Assembly election.

According to Ogbueshi Eboka, the decision to adopt Ochei was premised on his antecedents as an experienced legislator with over twelve years in the state legislature rising to the speakership of the house, coupled with his selfless and transformational attainments in diverse fields of endeavour, adding that with Ochei as the senatorial representative, the Delta North Senatorial district is bound to witness transformational representation with the view to availing the zone of the dividends of democracy.

Speaking on the occasion, Rt. Hon Ochei expressed delight at the adoption, which he described as a positive step in enhancing the living standard within the Delta North senatorial zone through effective representation.

He further promised to embark on people oriented projects which should be paramount to the economic development of the zone, which would be possible through voting massively for him as the Accord Party’s senatorial flag bearer.

In another development, the people of Aniocha North have reiterated their unflinching support for Rt Hon Victor Ochei as the worthy senatorial candidate capable of representing the Delta North senatorial district at the National Assembly.

The endorsement was made at the Issele-Uku Royal Palace ground during a campaign rally, in continuation of his senatorial electioneering, where he intimated the electorate of his intention to represent the zone with the aim of making life more meaningful to the constituents.

Speaking earlier at a courtesy visit to the regent, Prince Dominic Egbune, Rt. Hon. Ochei promised to improve on the economic status of the zone, considering that most factors responsible for economic growth are issues that the National Assembly deliberates upon.

Similarly, the Ukwuani Changes group at Obiaruku has pledged to ensure that Rt. Hon Ochei emerges victorious by casting their votes en masse for the Accord Party Delta North Senatorial flag bearer at election slated for February 14, 2015.

The Leader of the group, Mr Nelson Ekwuebelem who made this commitment when it hosted Rt Hon Ochei’s campaign trail at a consultation visit, stated that Ochei’s selflessness through employment opportunities, numerous empowerment projects, support for education through scholarship schemes, provision of buses and donation of books as well as instituting endowment funds in secondary and tertiary institutions in the state, are strong pointers to the fact that Ochei will represent the district effectively.
