BEVERLY HILLS, May 08, (THEWILL) – The burial rite for Dare, the son of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has been announced.
His funeral programme will run for three days from Sunday 9th May to Tuesday 11th May, and hold in two states, Akwa Ibom, where he died, and Ogun State, the family home and the international headquarters of RCCG along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Reputedly, third surviving son of Adeboye and Folu from a marriage spanning over 50 years, Pastor Dare Adeboye died in his sleep on Wednesday in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he served as the Assistant Pastor for Region (Youth) 35.
He was 42.
According to the funeral programme released by the family, the burial rite will hold as follows:
Sunday, May 9… Special Service will be held at the City of David Youth Church in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where Dare died.
Monday, May 10… Thanksgiving Songs and Tribute will be held at the RCCG House of Favour, Redemption Camp, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway –4 pm and 6 pm.
Tuesday, May 11… Farewell Service will be held at the Youth Centre, RCCG Redemption Camp –10am.
A Friday statement issued by Adeboye’s Personal Assistant, Leke, the cleric’s son, reads: “With our hearts full of gratitude, we appreciate you, for standing by our family, in this period of trial. We are consoled, no doubt, by the fact that our beloved son has returned home, to rest in the bosom of his Maker and Father.
“Our confident assurance is rooted in the life of selflessness and sacrifice our son lived for Jesus Christ, our Saviour. Thank you so much for your prayers and words of encouragement.
“Our prayer is that we will all make it to that glorious home, in Jesus mighty name.”
Born on June 9th 1978, Dare would have clocked 43 this year.
Temiloluwa, his wife and mother of his three children, discovered him dead after he passed on in his sleep.
