SAN FRANCISCO, November 16, (THEWILL) – Surviving the business climate in Nigeria and by extension Africa requires some level of doggedness. The terrain is definitely not for the fickle-minded but for the bravest of hearts like that of a wounded lion. In the history of businessmen in Africa, Aliko Dangote ranks high. In fact, he is number 1, the richest black on earth. For years, he has maintained his lead as Africa’s richest man with a growing business conglomerate that has flourished and thrived under his watch.
Being a billionaire is not just a title, the Kano state born tycoon is living his life to the fullest. Despite remaining modest with his wealth, Aliko loves to have fun from the beach coast of the Bahamas to Dubai and from Miami to the city of love Paris. Aliko plays hard whenever he gets a break from business.
Apart from his busy schedules and tight travel itinerary, the philanthropist still finds time to unwind on his super yacht parked on the Lagos coastline. In the company of his billionaire friends and associates dressed in his casuals, Dangote loves to feel the gust of fresh breeze blowing across the Lagos Atlantic.
So recently, he decided to flex his wallet by adding a brand new ‘Bombardier Global Express 7500’ Private Jet to his fleet.
According to sources, the custom made jet cost him around $75m dollars. The jet is acclaimed by the experts as, “the largest, longest range, roomiest & most luxurious purpose built business aircraft yet built”. It is an ultra long ranger jet with a range of 14300km, meaning it can fly directly from Lagos to Australia a distance of about 14152 km nonstop which is at least 18 straight hours or Lagos to Hong Kong a distance of more than 11000km non-stop. The custom built Global Express 7500, would conveniently carry 19 passengers and also comes with 2 master suites amongst several other luxuries like a standing shower, crew sleeping area & more.
