Covid-19: South African Rapper Tests Positive

SAN FRANCISCO, July 10, (THEWILL) – South African rapper, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA, has tested positive for COVID-19.

AKA made this known on his Twitter page on Friday.

The rapper made it public to raise awareness for the pandemic.

“In an attempt to create awareness around the virus and to caution citizens to be more careful in their daily interactions with others, AKA has chosen to make his results public.

“AKA pleads for everyone to adhere to social distancing guidelines, to wear masks and to hold stringent hygiene measures by frequently washing hands and sanitizing.”

THEWILL reports that South Africa presently has over 238,000 confirmed cases of the virus, the highest in Africa.
