BEVERLY HILLS, January 26, (THEWILL) – Afrobeat singer and activist, Seun Kuti, has frowned at the recent opening of schools by the Nigerian government despite the second wave of the coronavirus.
Kuti, who took to his Instagram account to react on schools reopening, described the action of the government as wickedness, saying the children of politicians who recommended the reopening of schools are not attending the said schools.
He disclosed that the only reason why the government wants the students to resume is because of its unwillingness to invest in virtual classrooms.
Kuti stated that the struggling citizens are hated by the Nigerian ruling elite.
He wrote: “The only reason these children and undergraduates are forced to resume is because no one is willing to invest in virtual classrooms for them. There is no immediate profit to be made.
“This is wickedness. Pure and simple.”
