BEVERLY HILLS, March 25, (THEWILL) – The speaker of the Edo state House of Assembly, Frank Okiye, has tested positive to COVID-19.
Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, disclosed this Wednesday while briefing journalists.
He said the state is taking measures to tackle further spread of the virus in the state.
It is unclear how Okiye got the virus as the State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, had gone into self- isolation sequel to his close contact with the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, and Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari, who have both tested positive for coronavirus.
