Coranavirus: Quarantined Indian Tests Negative

SAN FRANCISCO, March 18, (THEWILL) – An Indian national who was quarantined at the Infectious Disease Hospital in Lagos state has tested negative for coronavirus.

The Indian, a contractor at Dangote refinery in Lagos, was transferred to the Infectious Disease Hospital after complaining of a high temperature and fever, symptoms of COVID-19.

However, Akin Abayomi, commissioner of health in the state, disclosed in a tweet on Tuesday night that he came out negative.

“An Indian national that was admitted in our facility yesterday night with symptoms suggestive of #COVID19 has tested negative to #COVID19.

“He is doing perfectly well in our isolation unit. His case will be reviewed in the morning,” he said.

Nigeria recorded its third case of the virus on Tuesday following the return of a 30-year-old lady from the UK.
