November 08, (THEWILL) – Real Madrid was denied the chance to climb back to the top of La Liga after suffering a 3-2 loss at Rayo Vallecano as Oscar Trejo scored the game-winning goal with a contentious second-half penalty.

On Thursday, Madrid plays host to Cadiz in their final match before the World Cup break, while Rayo hosts Celta Vigo at home.
