Chicken Republic Puts Down Controversial Ad Allegedly Poking Fun At Olisa Metuh

SAN FRANCISCO, January 25, (THEWILL) – Fast food restaurant, Chicken Republic has come under fire for this ad they shared on their social media handle perceived by many as a sub to embattled PDP’s national publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh,who was said to have eaten or tried to eat a paper containing his statement while in EFCC custody.

The ad has divided Nigerian twitter users, with some calling for a boycott of the restaurant and others commending the ad as sheer brilliance.

The Ad has since been pulled down from the fast food’s social media pages, however management has refused to release a statement concerning it.

One thing is for sure though, this wouldn’t be the first time the restaurant will be latching on to a trending issue to create ads. See some of their past ads below.
