Call 112 For Free Emergency Medical, Ambulance Services Nationwide – FG

BEVERLY HILLS, February 28, (THEWILL) – The Federal Government has announced plans to launch a free emergency medical and ambulance service across the country.

Just by dialling 112, citizens in need of urgent medical attention will have an ambulance or doctors on site.

Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, made this disclosure at a retreat organised by the House of Representatives Committee on Healthcare Services on the amendment of the 2014 National Health Act.

Dr. Osagie said by dialling the emergency Code 112, Nigerians can access emergency ambulance service within minutes, at no cost.

According to the Minister, the Federal Government was pulling ambulances together to form the National Emergency Medical Service and Ambulance System (NEMAS) for launch next month.
