Buhari’s Minister Denies Membership Of Boko Haram

BEVERLY HILLS, April 12, (THEWILL) – The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami, has refuted allegations connecting him to the Boko Haram terrorist group.

He spoke in reaction to a media report that the United States allegedly placed him on a watch list for his alleged links with the late Mohammed Yusuf, who founded Boko Haram in Maiduguri, Borno State.

The Minister said he had preached against the doctrines of Boko Haram and similar groups for over 15 years.

Dr. Pantami on his verified Twitter handle, said, “My lectures against the doctrines and all other evil people have been available for over 15 years, including debates that endangered my life against many criminals in Nigeria.

“By the Almighty, no amount of intimidation will stop @IsaPantami from implementing the good policies of President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR on security.”
