SAN FRANCISCO, July 23, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has finally sent his list of ministerial nominees to the senate with 43 names.
Unlike during his first term when he appointed only 36 ministers with one per state, the President has now decided to increase the list to 43.
There are indications that the list was sent to the senate on Monday evening and will be read on the floor of the senate on Tuesday.
The senate, which will be proceeding on a two-month recess on Thursday, had urged the President to send his list before then.
It was gathered that only about 12 Ministers will be re-appointed from the former cabinet.
Some of the names said to be on the list include former Akwa Ibom State governor, Godswill Akpabio, former Benue State governor, George Akume, Buhari campaign spokesperson, Festus Keyamo, SAN.
Others are former governor of Ekiti State, Niyi Adebayo, Senator Gbemisola Saraki, Senator Olutayo Alasoadura, immediate past governor of Osun State, Rauf Aregbesola and Senator Olurunnimbe Mamora
Immediate former ministers who made the list, include Rotimi Amaechi, Raji Fashola, Adamu Adamu, and Lai Mohammed.
