BEVERLY HILLS, April 16, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with Niger Republic on the loss of over 20 children in a fire incident that broke out at a primary school in Niamey, the country’s capital.
The President in a statement issued on Friday by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, expressed “deep sorrow” on the incident
Buhari, in his message to President Mohammed Bazoum, described the incident leading to the death of the children (who are mostly between three and five years old) as “heart-wrenching and extremely horrific.”
“On behalf of the government and people of Nigeria, we commiserate with our brotherly neighbours on this tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, families and communities affected by this unfortunate incident. Wishing quick recovery to those who were injured,” Buhari said.
