BEVERLY HILLS, January 16, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Brigadier General Mohammed Buba Marwa (Rtd) as the New Director-General of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)
Before his appointment, Marwa was the Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Drug Abuse.
Marwa, who served as governor of Borno State, and then Lagos State during the military administrations of Generals Ibrahim Babangida and Sani Abacha, takes over leadership of the NDLEA from Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah.
Abdallah was appointed on January 12, 2016. His five-year tenure elapsed on January 11, 2021.
