August 24, (THEWILL) – At least two officers have been killed and another injured, after bandits attacked the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna,
The bandits invaded the permanent site of the institution located along Airport Road, Afaka, in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State around 1am.
Security sources said the bandits, dressed in military camouflage, beat the guards and headed for the officers’ quarters of the institution.
According to the source, the bandits killed two officers, injured one and kidnapped another.
“Lt Cdr Wulah and Flt Lt CM Okoronwo were shot dead. While Maj Datong has been kidnapped,” the source said, adding that 2nd Lt Onah, who sustained gunshot injuries, was receiving treatment at the NDA Hospital.
Incidentally, the military institution is opposite the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka where 39 students were abducted by bandits on March 11, 2021.
As of the time of filing this report, information regarding the attack on NDA was still sketchy.
