July 07, (THEWILL) – Popular Bollywood actor, Dilip Kumar, has died at the age of 99.
His death was announced by a family friend, Faisal Farooqui, on his Twitter handle.
The deceased actor died at Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai where he was admitted last week after he complained of breathlessness.
He will be buried on Wednesday evening with state honours.
THEWILL writes that Kumar was born as Muhammad Yusuf Khan but later changed his name to Dilip Kumar.
He has acted in over 60 films in a six-decade long career, with his biggest hits between 1949 and 1961 –some of them all-time classics of Bollywood.
