June 01, (THEWILL) – Bobby Brown, former husband of Whitney Houston, has spoken about being accused for the death of the singer.
Houston had died 2012, after she drowned accidentally, due to drug overdose. Her estranged husband, Bobby Brown, was blamed for her death.
He revealed that the allegations hurt him deeply. He also stated what he thinks led to the death of the legendary singer.
He made it known while speaking with Fox News Digital to promote his documentary Biography: Bobby Brown.
Speaking about the allegation, he stated, “That was pretty tough. Not many people knew how those accusations affected me.
“Not many people knew what they were talking about. They weren’t living, breathing or waking up with us. They just took it to the outer limits of what they thought was going on. But the truth is, they really didn’t know what was going on.”
He also spoke about his rehabilitation process. In 2020, he received therapy for alcoholism in a facility and he is now sober.
He said he desired to get “clean” and he ensured he got clean of narcotics.
He added that when he quit drugs, Houston didn’t and it caused a gap in their marriage. He added that it may be the reason the singer died and he survived, even though they both led a life of substance.
