Big Win For Atiku Abubakar In Ondo As INEC Declares Results

BEVERLY HILLS, February 24, (THEWILL) – Atiku Abubakar, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has won the presidential vote in Ondo State defeating incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC, by about 34, 000 votes in what could be termed a major setback for the ruling party in the South West.

According to results officially declared from the 18 LGAs in the state at the collation centre in capital Akure, Mr. Abubakar won in 11 LGAs polling a total of 276,201 votes, while President Buhari Buhari 241,776 votes.

Atiku wins – Akure North, Ifedore, Idanre, Ile Oluji/Okeigbo, Irele, Ondo East, Ose, Ondo West, Akure South, Ese-Odo & Okitipupa.

Buhari wins: Akoko North East, Akoko North West, Akoko South East, Akoko South West, Odigbo, Ilaje, Owo.
