Beyoncé, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj Express Views On #EndSARS

BEVERLY HILLS, October 21, (THEWILL) – International musicians, Beyonce, Rihanna and Nicki Minaj, have condemned Tuesday’s Lekki Toll Gate shooting in Lagos and endorsed the #EndSARS protests against police brutality.

Beyonce, in a statement through her philanthropic foundation, BeyGOOD on Wednesday stated that she was “heartbroken to see the senseless brutality taking place in Nigeria”.

The singer noted that “there has to be an end to SARS”.

The American singer also disclosed that her foundation is working with youth organizations to “support those protesting for change”.

The statement further disclosed that BeyGOOD will work with coalitions to give emergency healthcare, food and shelter.

“To our Nigerian sisters and brothers, we stand with you,” the statement said.
She also enjoined fans to come to her website, beyonce.com for a list of organizations to show their support.

Also, Barbadian singer, Rihanna in a statement disclosed that she couldn’t bear to see the torture and brutalization.

She wrote: “It’s such a betrayal to the citizens, the very people put in place to protect are the ones we are most afraid of being murdered by!

“My heart is broken for Nigeria man!! It is unbearable to watch! I’m so proud of your strength and not letting up on the fight for what’s right!”

Also, Nicki Minaj took to her Twitter account to say she is “standing with & praying for the brave young people of Nigeria who are on the front lines of this senseless violence”.

“Your voice is being heard,” Nicki added.
