Explaining the methodology for this list, FORBES states: “To form the Celebrity 100, FORBES evaluates pretax celebrity earning from June 2015 to June 2016. Fees for agents, managers and lawyers are not deducted. Figures are based on numbers from Nielsan, Pollstar, Box Office Mojo, Songkick and IMDB, as well as interviews with industry insiders and many of the stars themselves. The result is the definitive index of who’s making what in the global business of fame.”

Some of those who didn’t make the cut include Leonardo DiCaprio, Lady Gaga, Maia Sharapova, Manny Pacquiao, Justin Timberlake, and Bradley Cooper among others.
