SAN FRANCISCO, May 29, (THEWILL) – Bendel Insurance FC safe-hands, Umar Ahmad Jalingo, has died a few hours after he was discharged from a government owned hospital in Gombe State.
The team in a statement said “We are sad to announce the passing of one of our Goalkeepers, Umar Ahmad Jalingo.
“The deceased player’s family source broke the sad news to Insurance Team Manager, Coach Bernard Ogbe this morning.
“He was said to have been discharged from the Federal Teaching Hospital, Gombe on Wednesday.
“Umar Jalingo, 27, died at the early hours of today (Thursday) during illness.”

Umar left behind his wife, Hajia Zuleha and four children. He has been buried according to Islamic tradition.
