Those abducted included an entire family of six, in addition to a housewife and her two children.
THE WILL gathered that the bandits gained access to the quarters through the airport runway at about 1am on Saturday, storming into the apartment of their victims in commando style.
The military is said to have stormed the scene following the outcry from the victims who were running helter-skelter, shouting for help.
The arrival of the military personnel led to a serious gun battle with the bandits.
Sources in the state disclosed that the bandits bore sophisticated weapons, including a Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG).
