He said the abductors have reached out to some of the parents of the abducted children, demanding N30m to free them.

“The owner of the farm was not around. It (the farm) was under the supervision of one of his staff. When the victims were abducted,

“They (bandits) reached out to some parents for the ransom but they suddenly called to say they would not accept anything less than the amount demanded as ransom or direct access to the owner of the farm”, the source explained, adding that they only want to speak with the owner of the farm and no one else.

He, however, could not confirm if the owner of the farm had agreed to speak with the bandits.

When contacted, Spokesperson of the State Police Command, SP Gambo Isah, said the command was aware of the abduction and has been making efforts to rescue the abducted victims.

He, however, could not confirm the exact number of those abducted during the attack.
