BEVERLY HILLS, February 24, (THEWILL) – Mr. Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party has taken a surprising lead in Saturday’s presidential election in Oyo state, according to results from 10 local government areas so far released in the state.
Abubakar won in 9 out of the 10 LGAs – Saki East, Kajola, Ibarapa North, Ibarapa East, Itesiwaju, Iwajowa, Ibadan North West and Olorunsogo, while Buhari took Afijio LGA.
There are 33 local governments in the state.
