July 09, (THEWILL) – Amazon Studios, the American television and film producer and distributor that is a subsidiary of the multinational technology company Amazon, is reportedly set to begin a documentary on north London English Premier League side Arsenal over the 2021/22 season as part of its Amazon Prime Video’s “All Or Nothing” series.

The Emirates club informed team members and crew of the plans on Friday to prepare them for the cameras and equipment that will be coming in from Amazon to take a look at the inside working of the Gunners’ team behind the regular reach of cameras and behind the curtains to give fans an insider account of the look and feel than is normally seen.

Mark Gonnella, who is Arsenal’s Media and Communications Director said of the documentary series: “We are looking forward to giving our fans around the world a unique insight into how we work day-to-day.

“We have one of the biggest global followings in the game and one consistent thing we hear from fans is their desire to see more about what happens behind closed doors at the club.

“All or Nothing will give our fans and sport lovers an opportunity to learn more about what makes Arsenal such a special club, our trophy-laden history and our ambitions for future success.”

This will not be Amazon’s first rodeo in this arena. They have covered a host of American football clubs such as the Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Rams, plus the New Zealand national rugby team, the All Blacks. They have also done the same for Canada’s ice hockey club the Toronto Maple Leafs.

In football, they last chronicled Arsenal’s north London arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspurs and the chaotic and ultimately unsuccessful reign of then-manager Jose Mourinho. Before that, they previously covered former Serie A champions Juventus and EPL champions Manchester City.

Speaking about their ambitions for covering the Emirates club, Dan Grabiner, Head of UK Originals, Amazon Studios, said: “Arsenal is a historic club going through a fascinating period, and we can’t wait to take viewers behind-the-scenes on the journey of this crucial season.

“All or Nothing is about intimate access to the passion and commitment behind elite sport, and in Arsenal we have the perfect subject for the next chapter. We are looking forward to Prime members around the world experiencing another Premier League season with a new club, through All or Nothing’s signature quality storytelling and access.”

For Clare Cameron, who is involved as Executive Producer at 72 Films, it is a great time to do it. She said: “We’re excited to have the opportunity to go behind the scenes at Arsenal to capture the exhilaration and drama of a unique season at the club.

“The opportunity to get close-up access to a squad of talented young players, both on and off the pitch, see the return of the fans to football and understand what makes Arsenal such an iconic club, will make for a compelling All or Nothing series.”
