BEVERLY HILLS, April 08, (THEWILL) – Popular Nollywood actress, Uche Ogbodo, has enjoined unmarried women above 30 to desist from thinking about abortion because they might never be able to conceive again.

Ogbodo, who is expecting her second baby, took to her Instagram live session on Wednesday to address the societal struggles of many women when it came to marriage and childbearing.

Using herself as an example, Ogbodo frowned at the society’s stigmatisation of women who had babies out of wedlock.

The movie star, however, stated that she was not disturbed by the criticisms, adding that she was happy having a boyfriend.

“Many girls between 30 to 40 are dying to be married, to have a family, doing all sort of things so they can have a baby…some of them wait till 45 yet no husband. This is because the society will criticise them for having a baby out of wedlock,” she said. “You’re aborting a baby at 35 and 40 because of what people would say, are you okay? When you get to 40 and you’re pregnant without a husband, please don’t abort it. If you do who will take care of you when you are old?”

She also enjoined women to throw away the thinking of getting married at any cost.

She added: “It’s so painful when I see a lot of girls my age, they don’t look beautiful anymore and they were so pretty. I saw one yesterday. I had to go back to the page to refresh…she was looking haggard, old and ugly.

“Please, stop killing your children, especially when you’re of age. Have your kids. If marriage comes, marry oh, if marriage no come, raise your children now. It’s not everyone that must get married.

“I’m 34. I already have a kid. This is going to be my second child. I have a boyfriend who loves me, I’m happy and I’m having my baby.”
