October 16, (THEWILL) – The All Progressives Congress (APC) has suspended its ongoing state congress in Oyo state.
The chairman of the Caretaker Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the party and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, ordered the suspension of the exercise in the state.
The development followed alleged forgery of documents meant for the exercise along other alleged irregularities.
Buni, however asked the State Congress Committee to return to Abuja for further directives.
A source in the National Secretariat of the party, said the suspension became necessary to ensure the credibility of the process leading to the emergence of new party leaders in the state.
