July 28, (THEWILL) – The Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party Reconciliation Committee in Cross River State, Efiok Cobham, says the APC has given the PDP enough reasons to reclaim the state.

Cobham disclosed this in Calabar, when his committee visited two federal constituencies in the Southern Senatorial District of the state.

The constituencies are the Calabar Municipality/Odukpani, as well as the Akpabuyo, Bakassi and Calabar South Federal Constituencies.

He told aggrieved members not to allow their anger make them take decisions they will regret tomorrow and urged them to forget anti party activities.

In his words, “The 2023 elections is for us to win and the APC has given us enough reasons to win the election.

“Don’t allow your anger to make you take a decision you will regret tomorrow.

“If you have anti-party in your agenda, this is the time to forget it.

“The reclaiming of Cross River is a must, its a task that must be done and the PDP is the only party that can accomplish this task.

“The present administration in the state is comatose and is waiting to be pronounced terminally dead”, he said.

He added that what happened in the state with the defection of the PDP governor is a lesson and the party will guard against it next time.

He urged party men and women in the federal constituencies to come together, lick their wounds and collectively re-strategise against 2023.

Also speaking, a member of the committee, Obeten Obeten, said the party will fashion out a reward system to assuage the anger of some of the party men who have toiled for the party.

He told party men to keep faith with the PDP and remain men and women of honour and integrity.

On his part, the senatorial candidate of the PDP for the Southern Senatorial District, Ekpo Okon, urged party men to come together.

He likened politics to a team game, saying it’s not players that win, but the team.

He urged party men to consider the parlous state of Cross River State, the intentions of politicians and not let the state down in 2023.

On his part, Efa Esua, the PDP candidate for Calabar Municipality Federal Constituency, pleaded with aggrieved aspirants to close ranks in the party’s interest.
