May 25, (THEWILL) – Barcelona marked their initial 2021/2022 postseason campaign in Australia with a 3-2 friendly victory over the A-League All Stars at Accor Stadium in Sydney.

In the first half, Ousmane Dembele put the visitors ahead with a low strike, but the hosts responded with two quick second half goals in the 47th and 53th minutes to regain the lead.

Reno Piscopo and the All Stars’ Adama Traore were responsible for the goals that put them ahead of Barca, but Xavi Hernandez’s side did not step on the brakes.

Instead, Barca responded through their own Adama Traore, with Ansu Fati coming off the bench late in the second half to score the game-winner, only four minutes after coming in.

The All Stars had late chances to steal a point, but were denied by the woodwork, while Tenas made a crucial save to keep Xavi’s side in the lead and to finish the game victorious.
