Anietie Usen Heads Media Team For Governor Emmanuel’s Successor in Akwa Ibom

February 15, (THEWILL) – A political pressure group determined to execute the succession plan of governor Udom Emmanuel; Maintain Peace Movement (MPM), has approved the appointment of Mr Anietie Usen as Head of National Media for Pastor Umo Eno governoship campaign team for 2023 elections.

Usen is a veteran Journalist and former general editor of Newswatch magazine who covered and survived the Liberian Civil War between 1989-1997.

He holds a first degree in political science from the University of Calabar as well as other post graduate degrees to his credit.

He also worked with the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in various capacities including managing corporate affairs services of the intervention agency.

Usen is an author of many books such including: “Audacious Journalism” and “The Village Boy” which won the United Nations Award in 2021.

The movement also appointed the former commissioner for Information in the state Mr Chris Abasi Eyo as the campaign spokesman.

A statement issued on Tuesday and signed by the Secretary National Executive Committee (NEC) of Maintain Peace Movement, Prince Enobong Uwa said the appointment of Mr Anietie Usen takes immediate effect.

The statement reads in part: “Leadership of MPM has approved the following appointments into the NEC of MPM and Umo Eno Campaign Organization.”
