SAN FRANCISCO, May 21, (THEWILL) – Finidi George, a former Super Eagles player, has added his opinion to the bribery allegation in the national soccer team, urging current players to speak up or remain silent forever.
The former Real Betis winger, who was speaking to brilla.net, said: “For a player to say, I gave money for coaches to play me, they also are part of the problem, in the first place why should they bribe somebody to come to the national team?”
He also feels that players should learn to speak up without any fear whenever anyone requests for a bribe to play for the national team.

“These players should have opened up ever since they claimed it happened, coming out after eight years or thereabout to say they are asked to pay before given the chance to play for the super eagles is absurd.
“Why didn’t you speak up since? Come out openly to say a coach asked me to pay, why were they scared?”
At least four former players of the national have accused two deceased former coaches of the team of demanding bribes from them amid other unprofessional misconduct.
