March 13, (THEWILL) – No fewer than 5,000 persons, including, men, women, youths and the physically challenged from the 31 local government areas of Akwa Ibom State and beyond, will benefit from an unprecedented empowerment programme to be organised by Apostle Elijah Jack, the General Overseer of His Redeemed World Ministry.
The cleric disclosed this shortly after he received a delegation from the Nigerian Christian Youths Organisation (NCYO) on a courtesy visit to his office saying that he was committed to serving mankind especially the youths to acquire skills and enterpreneurship for their development.
He disclosed that a total of 50 youths from each of the 31 local government areas of the state will be selected for the said training just to ameliorate their suffering.
“I have started looking into youths empowerment as a mandate that I must carry out in the society not by compulsion but by doing it because it is important that I should affect lives positively,” he said.
The NCYO listed programmes it has embarked upon, including the provision of assistance to the needy , apprenticeship programmes for the physically challenged, donation of exercise books to schools, as well as Christian books to school libraries in the state, youth enlightenment programmes on dangers of drug abuse, alcoholism, cultism, kidnapping and other social vices in the society .
The president of the Organisation, Bro Nse Gabriel, presented the Excellent Service Award to Apostle Jack.
