April 27, (THEWILL) – The Special Adviser to President Buhari on Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Ita Solomon Enang, has purchased the expression of interest and the nomination forms to contest the seat of Governor in Akwa Ibom State, on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
Senator (Dr) Ita Solomon Enang on Tuesday, April 26, 2023 picked the Governorship Interest and Nomination Form for Akwa Ibom State with Registration Number 001.
THEWILL reports that Senator Enang, who purchased the form with number 001 of his party in the state had enjoyed massive support and unprecedented endorsements from stakeholders, youths and support groups of the APC in the State before he finally picked the form.
Speaking shortly after purchasing the forms at the National Secretariat of the Party in Abuja, the governorship hopeful expressed satisfaction on the leadership structure of President Muhammadu Buhari and National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that the Party is united, strong, vibrant to retain power in 2023.
He maintained that APC in Akwa Ibom State is devoid of any faction as what looked like fracas or factions in the Party were handled as a family.
He added that whatever that is remaining as misunderstanding will be properly settled before the party’s nomination exercise comes up in May.
Enang, however, assured that his administration if elected as the governor come 2023 will declare emergency in both human and infrastructure developments, so as to bring the much needed and expected inclusive governance to the state.
“What looked like issues in APC has been handled as family affairs. So I want to congratulate the leadership of APC. I feel very elated. Am proud to be a member of the All Progressives Congress.
“There is no more faction in Akwa Ibom State APC. All interests are found into one family and the family is under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Chairman.
“Whatever is remaining, we will tidy up before we go into nomination. We are going into nomination as one united family; in one venue, coming; up with one candidate; and one winner for Gubernatorial, Senatorial, House of Representatives and House of Assembly elections.
“I will bring to the table accountability, change in the mode of doing things, concentration on the manner in which we generate funds from the state to national level and working more with the Federal Government by operating cordially with Federal Institutions to be able bring development to the state. I will give more attention to agriculture, education and declaring an emergency on the development of the youths and human development so as to be able to develop human infrastructure”, Sen. Enang stated.
A former Councillor, former Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly Member, three time House of Representatives Member, former Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly and the current Senior Special Assistant to the President on Niger Delta Affairs said that as early as 9:30am, he had paid into APC designated Account the sum of N50 million (Fifty Million Naira) being amount for Governorship Nomination form (N40m) and Expression of interest form (10m).
According to him, purchase of the Party’s Form for Akwa Ibom State Governorship race, has proven his seriousness and readiness for the task of the Hilltop Mansion in 2023.
