August 18, (THEWILL) – Reclaim Cross River State, a socio-political organisation, has unveiled plans to reclaim Cross River State and restore its lost glory.
This will be achieved through the inauguration of ward coordinators across the 196 political wards of the state.
The cordinators are intended to guarantee effective grassroots mobilisation ahead the 2023 General Elections.
The group is a socio political organisation that is rooting for the success of Professor Sandy Onor, the state’s PDP gubernatorial flag bearer.
A release, issued by the Director General of the group, Barrister Paul Ishabor, indicates that the inauguration will take place on Thursday, 25th August, 2022.
He explained that the ward structure deployed by the group reflects it’s readiness to galvanise the electorate towards reclaiming the state’s lost glory.
“The ward structure reflect our spread and readiness to massively galvanise the electorate towards reclaiming our lost Paradise.
“Our beloved state has been bastardised in all ramifications, from the civil service, economy, education, security architecture, basic infrastructure, the list is endless.
“As the leading PDP Support Group, we are setting the ball rolling by establishing the basis framework needed for effective, smooth and results-oriented electioneering in tandem with the INEC guidelines as stipulated in the 2022 Electoral Law”, he said.
Ishabor revealed that the landmark event is expected to be graced by all PDP candidates from the House of Assembly to Governorship race.
As part of activities lined up for the event, a city walk themed Reclaiming Our Lost Glory will take place.
State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Hon Mike Ojisi, in his reaction, applauded Reclaim Cross River for the bold initiative targeted at canvassing support for the PDP ahead 2023 for landslide victory.
He contended that “upcoming inauguration signpost the capacity of Reclaim Cross River for massive mobilisation.
“This is needed to erase the scourge of propaganda launched by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to shield their woeful failures”, he said.
