Award-winning broadcaster, Mike Okwoche and his wife, Emem Ime have been honoured with a traditional title by the Tiv community in Lagos state. Okwoche was conferred with the title of Zege Kwaghfan U. Shagbaor while his wife was conferred with Kuhe Kwaghfan U. Shagbaor.
The traditional chieftaincy ceremony took place in Ikeja, Lagos State amidst pomp and pageantry. The duo were decorated because of their immense contribution in the promotion of culture and socio-economic development of Benin people in Lagos State and the country in general. Okwoche is an indigene of Benue State, the Food Basket of the nation while his wife, Emem is from Uyo in Akwa Ibom State.
The duo of Okwoche and Emem are broadcasters with the Continental Broadcasting Services, owners of TV Continental and Radio Continental. Okwoche is an Executive Producer of Maiti-Point Media and a senior news anchor at TVC while his wife is the producer of the popular TV talk show, Your View.
