January 27, (THEWILL) – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will conduct mock accreditation with eligible voters, using the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System (BVAS) on Saturday, February 4, 2023.
Chairman of the Commission, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, made the disclosure on Friday, at a meeting with Resident Electoral Commissioners in Abuja.
Yakubu said 456 polling units across the country would be used for the exercise.
He hinted that the BVAS would be configured ready for use for the general elections after the mock accreditation.
INEC has scheduled February 25, for the presidential and national assembly elections, and March 11, for the governorship and state assembly elections.
