I Won’t Handover Benue To An Evil Man – Ortom

Samuel Ortom
Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom.

January 09, (THEWILL) – Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has promised not to hand over the affairs of the state on May 29, 2023, to what he referred to as an ‘evil’ man masquerading as a clergyman.

The governor, who made the disclosure while addressing the expanded meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), at the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi, on Monday, said he will follow the gubernatorial campaign train with both spiritual and physical strength across the state.

“Those witches and wizards in Benue state will be looted out and I will hand over the mantle of leadership to the PDP governorship candidate, Titus Uba, after victory at the polls.”

Governor Ortom described Uba as competent, who is capable and experienced enough to take over from him and pledge to go round the state to sell him and his deputy, John Ngbede, to the electorate.

He said after the local government campaign, all the senatorial candidates will restrict campaigns to their respective districts, just like the house of representatives and House of assembly candidates.

Governor Ortom, therefore, charged members of the party to be honest and hardworking in ensuring that all PDP candidates win at the polls in next month’s general elections in the state.
