March 08, (THEWILL) – Gunmen suspected to be bandits on Tuesday morning, attacked St. John’s Catholic church, Kudenda, in Kaduna South local government area.
The parish priest, Rev. Fr. Joseph Aketeh, was kidnapped during the attack while his security guard identified as Mr. Luka was killed.
A resident, Sunday Moses, said, “the kidnappers killed two security guards before gaining access to the Reverend Father’s house.”
He explained that a woman and her two children were kidnapped, along with the priest.
The Kaduna State Government and the State Police Command, have not issued any statement on the incident
The spokesperson of the State Police Command, ASP Jalige Mohammed has neither picked his calls nor responded to text messages sent to him.
