BEVERLY HILLS, March 15, (THEWILL) – Two female students of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) were on Sunday night taken captive by unknown gunmen.
The victims, Adeyemo Precious and Oyefule Abiola, were abducted while returning to their hall of residence located in Olowu area in Ayetoro Campus of the institution in Yewa North Local Government Area.
The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident, said a manhunt led by the Area Commander in conjunction with local hunters has been launched to rescue the victims unhurt.
He also confirmed that the two abducted students – Adeyemo Precious and Oyefule Abiola- were of the departments of Forestry and Wildlife Management and Agricultural Economics respectively.
It was however gathered that the abductors have reached out to the families and demanded a N50 million ransom to release the duo.
