A former Chief Security Officer to Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha described the former military head of state as a patriotic man who loved his country but unfortunately, the proper history about the kind of man Abacha was has been distorted.

The Governor of Kebbi State, Abubakar Atiku Baguda also had pleasant memories of the late Abacha. Formerly married to a Cameroonian multi-billionaire, Bayero Fadil for 20 years but left as a result of irreconcilable difference. A few years after quitting her first marriage, she found love in the arms of Yobe State governor, Buni as his fourth wife.
