December 16, (THEWILL) – The Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) President, Habu Gumel, has won re-election for another term in office.
Gumel received 21 votes in the election held on Thursday, in Jalingo, Taraba State, defeating Sani Ndanusa, another former NOC president, who received 19 votes.
Solomon Ogba was elected first Vice President with 24 votes, and Ishaku Tikon, the second Vice President, was elected without opposition. Olumide Oyedeji, the third Vice President, won with 24 votes.
Olabisi Joseph, the President of the Nigeria School Sports Federation (NSSF), was elected as the NOC’s fourth Vice President. The Deputy General Secretary, Abdullahi Muhammed, was elected without opposition and Tunde Popoola, was elected as Secretary General.
Tony Nezianya was elected as the Public Relations Officer (PRO), and Musa Kida, received 22 votes to win the position of Treasurer.
