Gov Matawalle Hires New Chief Of Staff, Reshuffles Perm Secs

August 25, (THEWILL) – Zamfara State Governor, Bello Matawalle, has appointed Ibrahim Sulaiman as his new Chief of Staff.

The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement read, “This is to inform the general public that His Excellency, Gov. Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State has approved the appointment of Alhaji Ibrahim Sulaiman as the new Chief of Staff to Government House, Gusau.

“Ibrahim Sulaiman Gusau is a seasoned administrator and a technocrat per excellence. His appointment has taken effect.”

The Governor also approved the redeployment of 12 Permanent Secretaries

The redeployed permanent secretaries are: Kabiru Sani, from Ministry of Works to the Ministry of Education; Lawali Mainasara, from Ministry of Education to the Ministry of Science and Technical Education; Garba Ahmad Gusau, from Ministry of Science and Technical Education to the Ministry of Works; Abubakar Muhammad Barmo, from Office of the Executive Governor to the Ministry of Local Government Affairs.

others deployments are Abubakar Jafar Maradun, from Ministry of Local Government Affairs to Office of the Executive Governor; Jibrin Baba, from Government House to the Ministry of Finance; Kabiru Yusuf Gusau, from Directorate of Housing and Urban Development to Government House; Lawal Hussein from Ministry of Environment and Solid Minerals to Cabinet Affairs, Office of the Secretary to the State Government; Yakubu Sani Haidara from Cabinet Affairs, to Salaries and Wages, office of the Head of Service.

Also redeployed, are, Haruna Mainasara, from Ministry of Youths and Sports to the Ministry of Environment and Solid Minerals; Abdulkadir Alinkilo Anka, from Ministry of Special Duties to the Ministry of Commerce and Industries; Hamisu Shayau, from Ministry of Commerce and Industries to the Ministry of Youths and Sports.

The redeployments also take immediate effect.

Governor Bello Matawalle enjoined the permanent secretaries to put in their best by ensuring the state Civil service compares with that of any advanced country.
