October 12, (THEWILL) – The last has not been heard about the crisis rocking Scene One Production Limited, the company jointly owned by actress-turned-politician, Funke Akindele and her estranged husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, also known as JJC Skillz.
The two had parted ways over financial appropriation on the part of JJC Skillz. Their company also took a break as a result of the couple’s marital crisis.
The break was necessary to allow the estranged couple to sort out their differences while resolving how the operations of the company would be handled since it is a joint venture.
The break also affected the online airing of Jenifa’s diary, the popular television comedy series from the stables of Scene One Production despite the fact that some customers had made an advance payment to enjoy the comedy series online.
The actress was called out by aggrieved subscribers who were not happy with the decision of the company because of the advance payment made.
While online subscribers were still counting their loss, the deputy governor candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in Lagos state introduced another paid platform to air Jenifa’s diary since Scene One TV has not been in operation for a couple of months.
The actress made the announcement last week that fans of the comedy series should subscribe to Startimes where new episodes of the comedy series would be aired.
Subscribers who paid on the platform of Scene One TV were neglected as none of them got a refund of the money paid in advance for the subscription and the services they paid for were also not delivered.
The actress has also not indicated that she would port customers’ subscriptions onto the new paid platform she will be using. And she has been mute about the whole issue since it started in April.
Some of the aggrieved customers have resumed calling out the actress, accusing her of robbing and defrauding them.
