January 02, F(THEWILL) – Acholonu, the ex-fiancée of Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo, has revealed that the actor convinced her to make a public apology.
She took to her social media to state that the public apology she tendered last week to her ex-fiance was mandated by him as part of the condition to reconcile with her.
The model had issued a public apology months after disgracing the actor last year. She stated that she missed him when they were apart and apologized to his family as well.
The duo were engaged to be married in 2021 but Acholonu suddenly took to social media to state that she couldn’t continue with the wedding plan.
She had advised him then to live in his truth and move on for good.
After her public apology, a video surfaced online that indicated that the model had moved in with the actor and everything was back to normal between the two of them.
However, some hours after their rumoured alleged reconciliation, Acholonu took to social media again to clear the air about the reconciliation tale.
According to her, she was forced to make the public apology as she doesn’t want her private life to go public.
She added that after the public apology she was forced to make, the actor still left her and dented her image.
Acholonu revealed that she is being trolled when many did not know why she ended the relationship in the first place.
She concluded by saying that she has moved on and she is now living on her terms.
“Happy new year everyone. 2023 will be my year of strength, being fearless, speaking up for myself and no longer under anyone’s control.
“I’m free, the chain is broken. May God bless us all.”
Some fans inquired if indeed, the actor asked for a public apology and the model responded.
“You are so right! I have literally said nothing about why I ended it in the first place. People are attacking me not knowing the pain I went through and he’s busy asking me to apologize publicly all the time just for his image.
“What about my image he’s trying to damage? It’s beyond cruel. I’m no longer scared or under his control.
“He asked me to make a public apology and I fell for it. My eyes are now opened. I’m at peace now and have full understanding.
“I never wanted my private life to go public. Now that it is, I’m trying to manage it the best that I can. I did not ask for any of these. Alex wanted all the public apologies.
“I have been living to stay private. I’m now living on my own terms. You don’t know the full story, so just be kind,” she wrote.
